NALA CP Preparation

The National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) is offering the NALA Short Course in preparation for the CLA/CP examination.  This event will be held in Charlotte, North Carolina.  The date for this event is November 11-13, 2010.  For more information, and to register for this event, please refer to the Continuing Education/2010 Certified Paralegal Short Course section at www.nala.org.

Nevada Paralegal Association

The Nevada Paralegal Association (NPA) is a professional association for paralegals and legal assistants in the Las Vegas Valley, working together to promote the advancement of the paralegal profession within the legal community by encouraging high professional and ethical standards in the education, training, and employment of paralegals. NPA is affiliated with the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA).

ATTENTION MEMBERS!

The Nevada Paralegal Association is grateful to the many Sponsors which have provided various locations for our monthly meetings.  NPA has elected to hold the General Meetings in various locations in order to accommodate as many attendees as possible and to offer topics of interest proposed by members and non-members. Please be sure to check the EVENTS CALENDAR to find out the location and the topic for each General Meeting.

 
The General Meetings are held the 3rd Wednesday of each month, with the exception of July and August.  Also, Special Events may be held in lieu of the General Meeting in any month, so be sure to check the website often for any updates.

Memberships expired January 31, 2010.  Please complete the Membership application and send it in before your access to the jobs and member only sections expire!  If you did not get a renewal notice email, please contact us through the website.  Information will be emailed to you. 


NEW MEMBERS -- Please register!  Once you have registered, your status will be changed to member and you will have access to member only pages once membership dues are received.  Current membership status is being updated as renewals are received. 

New events and activities are continually being added to the Events Calendar.  If you have anything you would like included in the calendar, please send an email through the website.

Mission / Goals / Brief History

  In part, our mission is to promote excellence, education, ethical conduct and the enhancement of the paralegal profession. NPA continually works hard to raise its professional standards, and strives to implement continuing education requirements for voting membership.

  Our goals include serving the needs and interests of paralegals in the Las Vegas Valley area, and educating employers of the many roles that paralegals play in the delivery of legal services. NPA encourages a high degree of professional standards and ethics among NPA members. NPA supports and promotes the professional goals of NALA.

  NPA, formerly CCOLA, was founded in 1978 by a group of paralegals recognizing a need for a professional association for paralegals. NPA is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors and Committee Chairs, elected each summer by its voting members.
