Member: Joan Wiley | ACPJoan Wiley, ACP, is President of the Nevada Paralegal Association. She previously served as Parliamentarian and Vice President/Membership Chair. Joan is also a member of the National Association of Legal Assistants and is currently the Region IX Director and is a legal assistant member of the Clark County Bar Association. Joan earned her Certified Legal Assistant designation in January, 2005 and obtained her Advanced Certified Paralegal specialty designations in July, 2005 in Real Estate and in January, 2007 in Contract Management/Contract Administration. She is currently employed as a transactional paralegal with Santoro, Driggs, Walch, Kearney, Holley & Thompson where her primary areas are Corporate Law and Real Estate Law. She has been in the legal field for over 16 years, and previously worked for a real estate construction/development company and a telephone utility company. A resident of Las Vegas since 1986, Joan earned an Associate Degree in Applied Sciences – Legal Assistant from the College of Southern Nevada in 1992, graduating with highest honors and as a member of Phi Theta Kappa Society. Joan is currently enrolled at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, where she is pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in English with a minor in History. At UNLV, Joan is a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society and was named to Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges for 2005. |

NPA Title: Vice President - Membership Chair
Member: Mary Sedillo | CPMary Sedillo, originally from Flagstaff, Arizona, has been a paralegal in Las Vegas for 14 years. She has pursued her paralegal education by graduating and receiving a Paralegal Certificate from the Paralegal Studies program at UNLV, graduating from CSN with an Associates of Applied Science Degree - Legal Assistant/Paralegal, and obtaining a C.P. designation from NALA. Her paralegal work history has included working in law firms specializing in various areas of law including general civil litigation, construction law, mechanic’s liens, foreclosures, construction defect, corporate, business licensing, employment, personal injury, domestic, and insurance defense. Mary’s interest in NPA is to coordinate with other members, new and experienced paralegals, paralegal students, and cooperating attorneys, to utilize and enhance the use of paralegals for the benefit of the law firm.

Member: Linda Soeder
Linda Soeder is originally from Atlantic City, New Jersey, and moved to Las Vegas 10 years ago. After working in the Casino industry for 25 years, she decided to pursue a career in the legal industry – and has been a paralegal at Harrah’s Corporate offices for the past 5 years. Linda holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Marketing and has obtained her paralegal certificate from the Paralegal Studies program at UNLV. She is currently studying for the CLA/CP examination, to be taken in July 2009. Her paralegal work is in the area of gaming licensing regulatory compliance. |

Member: Connie ValentineConnie Valentine is the Treasurer of Nevada Paralegal Association and was formerly the Secretary and the NALA Liaison. Connie is employed as a paralegal and Collection Supervisor with Wanderer Law P.C. She has been at her current job for 16 years working primarily in the creditor rights and civil litigation fields as well as handling the computer systems. Connie has been a member of NALA for the past ten years. Connie is almost a Las Vegas native having relocated from upstate New York in 1981. Connie began her Las Vegas legal career with the Riviera Hotel in their collections department. |

Member: Jennifer Smith | CPJennifer Smith is NALA Liaison for the Nevada Paralegal Association. Jennifer received her certificate in the Legal Assistant Program at the College of Southern Nevada in 2007 and received her certified paralegal designation from NALA in 2005. Jennifer is employed as a transactional paralegal with Snell & Wilmer L.L.P. She has been at her current job for 3 years working primarily with condominium development and foreclosures as well as commercial loans. Jennifer has been a member of NALA for the past three years. Jennifer moved to Las Vegas having relocated from Phoenix, Arizona in 2005. |

NPA Title: Parliamentarian - Public Relations
Member: Terri Cedro | CP
Terri L. Cedro, Certified Paralegal, is Parliamentarian and Public Relations Chair of the Nevada Paralegal Association and has been in the legal field in Southern California and Las Vegas for more than a decade. Terri attained her CLA/CP credential from NALA in 1999, thanks in large part to being awarded the 1998 Student Essay Scholarship from the Los Angeles Paralegal Association (LAPA). In 1988 Terri earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Radio/Television/Film from the University of North Texas in Denton and in 1998 attained her Certificate in Paralegal Studies from Learning Tree University in Chatsworth, California. She began her paralegal career at the L.A. offices of Littler Mendelson, PC, and Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, and also previously has served on the board of directors for both LAPA and Orange County Paralegal Association.

Member: Pat Altstatt | ACP, CBAPat Altstatt is currently employed with the law firm of Santoro, Driggs, Walch, Kearney, Holley & Thompson. Pat has been in the legal profession since 1973. She received her certified paralegal designation from NALA in 2004, passed the bankruptcy specialty examination in 2005 and is a member of the National Association of Legal Assistants. She is also a certified bankruptcy assistant and an associate member of the Association of Bankruptcy Judicial Assistants. Pat has co-authored several articles in the state and county bar publications. She also served on a panel discussion with homeowner association managers regarding bankruptcy issues. Pat is a former president of NPA and has served as vice president and co-chair of the membership committee. She also works on the website. |

NPA Title: Scolarship Chair - Student Liaison
Member: Lissa Treadway | ACP, CBALissa Treadway, Advanced Certified Paralegal, is Chair of the Scholarship Committee and Student Liaison. She is also a member of the Legal Assistants Division of the State Bar of Nevada and the National Association of Legal Assistants (“NALA”). Lissa obtained her Certified Legal Assistant designation from NALA in September of 1996, and obtained her Advanced Certified Paralegal certification in the area of bankruptcy from NALA in September of 2004. She obtained her Certified Bankruptcy Assistant designation from the Association of Bankruptcy Judicial Assistants in November of 2005. Lissa has been employed as a paralegal with the law firm of Shea & Carlyon, Ltd. since 1996 and primarily practices in the area of creditor rights, bankruptcy and civil litigation. She has been employed in the legal profession since 1988 and previously served as Vice President/Membership Chair and President of the NPA. |
