Join us for our annual PARALEGAL DAY CELEBRATION. NPA will hold its annual paralegal day luncheon on Tuesday, October 14, 2008, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Hennessey's downtown. Chief Justice Mark Gibbons from the Nevada Supreme Court will be our guest speaker and NPA Vendors will have their display tables. The cost for NPA Members is only $5.00 ($10.00 for all non-NPA Members). Last year we had over 100 people attend this luncheon. This year we will only have seating for 80-85 people so please send in your RSVP asap. Please RSVP to NPA, Attn: Paralegal Day Luncheon, PO Box 12003. Las Vegas, NV 89112. Please include the names for each attendee and their membership status, as well as your check. We look forward to seeing you all there!

We hope you are able to attend our monthly meetings. A reminder that we are dark in July. We will begin our regular meeting schedule on the third Wednesday of the month in August.

NEW MEMBERS -- Please register! Once you have registered, your status will be changed to member and you will have access to member only pages once membership dues are received. Current membership status is being updated as renewals are received.

IPE, a well-known educator for paralegals is now offering discounts to NPA members for IPE sponsored seminars. If you are interested in attending, please contact Lissa Treadway to get your special offer codes for the discount. This information will eventually be included in our Member Only section of the website.

The Nevada Paralegal Association (NPA) is a professional association for paralegals and legal assistants in the Las Vegas Valley, working together to promote the advancement of the paralegal profession within the legal community by encouraging high professional and ethical standards in the education, training, and employment of paralegals. NPA is affiliated with the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA).

In part, our mission is to promote excellence, education, ethical conduct and the enhancement of the paralegal profession. NPA continually works hard to raise its professional standards, and strives to implement continuing education requirements for voting membership.

Our goals include serving the needs and interests of paralegals in the Las Vegas Valley area, and educating employers of the many roles that paralegals play in the delivery of legal services. NPA encourages a high degree of professional standards and ethics among NPA members. NPA supports and promotes the professional goals of NALA.

NPA, formerly CCOLA, was founded in 1978 by a group of paralegals recognizing a need for a professional association for paralegals. NPA is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors and Committee Chairs, elected each summer by its voting members.
