Lissa Treadway, ACP, CBA, Past President of NPA, was honored with a 2009 Affiliated Associations Affiliate Award during NALA’s 34th annual meeting July 10 in San Diego, CA. NALA, The Association of Legal Assistants/Paralegals, is the nation’s leading association for professional certification, continuing education, and career advancement for paralegals. The association has more than 6,000 individual members, and another 12,000 are represented through local and regional affiliated associations throughout the nation. Ms. Treadway has also served NPA as Vice President and Scholarship and Student Mentor Chair. She has been active in developing the CLA/CP study group, and the annual Spring Seminars. She has also organized several charitable events and has been working with the Legal Assistant Division of the State Bar of Nevada to create a definition of paralegals/legal assistants in Nevada.
